Melanie Faye is an R&B guitarist and songwriter who first got noticed by posting videos of her virtuosic guitar playing, which she shot on the floor of her teenage bedroom. Self-taught by playing Guitar Hero, Faye’s singular style of playing and unique melodies captured the attention of SZA, John Mayer, H.E.R., Shawn Mendes and Chance the Rapper. With only one song released, Maggie Rogers invited Faye to support her album’s US tour and Melanie has since shared the stage with Willow Smith and Haley Williams.
Faye’s debut, a self-titled EP, features contributions from Mac DeMarco, Jamila Woods, Karina Pasian, the Cautious Clay produced “Jump” and the original demo of “Clutch” which was the first to pique the internet’s interest.
