Rolling Loud’s Got Bars Finalist MeLo McClain was born in Detroit, Michigan and has been raised on the west side. With violence and tragedy around MeLo music was his only therapy to escape the madness. By the age of 12 MeLo began to take his rapping and writing career seriously. He was then mentored by his manager and brother in-law Will “Motown” Smith. MeLo finished in the top 9 finalist at BET's Next Rap Star competition during the BET Experience. McClain has performed from Miami, FL to Las Vegas, NV and now resides in Atlanta, GA.
MeLo's love for music stems from his Jamaican roots on his father's side and the inspiration from the gospel music through his mother's side. He has released his debut mixtape "Off Season" in 2016 and since multiple freestyle and songs.
