Born in the Bronx, New York in 1969, Mic 's music career began during his schooldays quickly moving onto busking on Dublin's Grafton Street, alongside artists such as Glen Hansard, Kila, Mark Dignam and Colm Mac Con Iomaire. During this time Mic became lead singer of The Mary Janes. After many years with The Mary Janes and two album releases, Mic launched his solo career. He finished recording his first solo album prior to embarking on a support slot with The Waterboys. Sadly Mic passed away following an accident during this tour on November 29th, 2001. His album, Skylarkin was finished and released by his family and friends in 2002. The album was re-released on vinyl on his 48th birthday in 2017.
