When you talk about Soul in Germany,...many surely think of the exceptional talent of MIC DONET, who became well known through the first season of The Voice of Germany The self-produced album Plenty Of Love, which Xavier Naidoo described as Grammy-worthy stayed in the German Top 10 for over 20 weeks. However, his journey had begun many years earlier. At the age of sweet 19, he signed his first record deal and released his German debut album Stille Wasser in 2004, which still bring talked about in the scene today. His single Jemand Da, which made it into the Top 100 of the German charts at the time, is still ringing in the ears of many. His charisma, and his incredible vocal abilities, ranging from gentle hip-hop romanticism and deeply moving soul phrasing to even operatic sublimity, distinguishes him as an outstanding artist of International format; SÜDDEUTSCHE ZEITUNG This was even recognized by stars like Erykah Badu, Stevie Wonder and Carlos Santana, who took Mic on tour with them. In 2015, his second English album Rise and Shine was released. After an artistic break, during which he decided to travel the world – he's now back! Back to urban soul. Back to German native language. Back to reset.
