Michaël Brun is a Haitian DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist reshaping global dance music through his fusion of Afro-Caribbean rhythm and electronic innovation. Based in New York City, Brun brings a forward-thinking vision rooted in culture and community. Esquire hailed him as “the biggest thing to come out of Haiti in the 21st century,” and his genre-blending approach has earned acclaim from Rolling Stone, Billboard, and The FADER.
A lifelong musician, Brun left medical school to tour the world as a DJ, working with icons like Tiësto and Calvin Harris before producing for J Balvin — a collaboration that earned him a Latin GRAMMY® for Colores in 2020. His own releases, from the breakout Bayo EP to 2025’s FAMI Vol. 1 (Astralwerks/Capitol), showcase a vibrant blend of house, pop, and Haitian Kompa.
Beyond the studio, Brun founded BAYO, a festival celebrating Caribbean music and unity that began as a block party in Haiti and has since sold out shows in Paris, Montreal, Miami, and New York City (Central Park and Barclays Center). With new singles on the horizon and the more BAYO’s planned, Brun continues his mission to build bridges between cultures and bring the heartbeat of Haiti to dance floors around the world.
