Michaela Jaé is a Golden Globe®–winning, Emmy®–nominated actress, singer, and activist. She made history as the first trans woman nominated for a Primetime Emmy for her role as ‘Blanca’ on FX’s "Pose," which also earned her the Golden Globe for Best Actress in 2022.
She’ll next appear in Season 3 of Apple TV+’s hit comedy "Loot," starring opposite Maya Rudolph. She also recently appeared in FX’s "American Horror Story: Delicate" alongside Emma Roberts, Kim Kardashian, and Cara Delevingne.
A New Jersey native, Michaela Jaé discovered her love of music through performing arts programs in Newark and New York City before studying songwriting and performance at Berklee College of Music. She released her debut single “Something to Say” in 2021, followed by the 2023 holiday track “Snow Globe.” That year, she became the first trans ambassador for Charlotte Tilbury, cementing her status as a cultural trailblazer.
In 2024, Michaela Jaé released her debut album "33." Fusing pop, R&B, and soul, it tells the story of a cloned humanoid—Michaela Jaé 33F7—navigating life on a distant planet. The flawed yet resilient protagonist reflects Michaela’s own journey of self-discovery and resilience.
She followed it with “Two to Tango,” a pulsating R&B-pop single highlighting her vocal power and introspective writing. Her passion for music remains front and center, most recently with a headlining set at San Francisco Pride.
