MIDI 4 is a fusion of improvised, creative, jazz, film, beat, and gentle, subtle melody music founded by Malina Midera - pianist and composer.
The band is a continuation of the Midera & Kowalik Quartet project, which debuted with the independently released album 'Mibokoch' in April 2022, blending Polish and Danish musical sensibilities.
The group released their debut album Cats, Dogs and Dwarfs in March 2024 on Alpaka Records (PL). The record showcases the band’s interest in balancing melody and texture, as well as spontaneous interaction between musicians. Midi 4 focuses on collective sound rather than individual solos, aiming for honest and direct musical expression.
