An ever-expanding musical collective spearheaded by Autry Fulbright, Midnight Masses first came to fruition in 2008, as Fulbright dealt with the death of his father. Based in New York and signed to the Collect Records label, Midnight Masses included the talents of some very established and well-known collaborators, including Jason Reece and Conrad Keely of ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead and Gerard Smith and Jaleel Bunton of TV on the Radio. (Rounding out the band's membership were Eric Rodgers, Destiny Montague, Miyuki Furtado, and Daniel Wood.) While 2010 was tentatively scheduled for the band's full-length coming out, a stopgap EP previewing Midnight Masses' sound, Rapture Ready, I Gazed at the Body, was released to the masses in November of 2009. ~ Chris True, Rovi
