Midnight Philosophy began as just a duo of two best friends. Nate [vocals, piano] and Caspar [guitar, vocals] were inseparable ever since they met in second grade. They began playing music together when they joined their school's jazz band in second grade. In eighth grade they dove head first into the world of song writing. A year of writing, scrapping, and rewriting later, they had their first original song, "Wherever She Goes."
Knowing their project required more than just vocals, guitar, and keys, the duo reached out to some friends Caspar met at a rock-focused music program. When Josh [drums] joined with Dante [bass, guitar] close at his heels, the group was propelled to an even higher level. Songs that were mere frameworks before suddenly transformed into a polished final product.
The band kept writing and rehearsing until they had written 9 original songs, when they knew it was time for their first show. They first took the stage on February 22, 2025 9:30 pm at The Rock Shack in Somerville, NJ. After the success of their first show, they continued writing, rehearsing, and performing until they finally stepped foot into Lakehouse Recording Studios in Asbury Park on July 30th of the same year.
They continue to play music together with more music in the works!
