Midrone is the project of Paul J.No, a French independent composer, musician, and singer based in Barcelona. Paul has always been passionate about music, with major influences including Pink Floyd, Genesis, The Bee Gees, and Supertramp, as well as Muse, Howard Jones, Pet Shop Boys, Ultravox, The Killers, Linkin Park, Katie Melua, and Above & Beyond. His music style is a mix of pop, rock, and sometimes disco or dance, as long as there’s a melody.
Paul is also one-third of the progressive rock band Lunear.
Midrone’s new album, titled “Foreverness Revisited,” was created after Paul decided to rework the songs from his first published albums. These songs were recorded using a new technology at the time, and Paul realised that it would be better to re-record all the tracks, including vocals, drums, basses, and guitars. This led to a comprehensive reworking process, rather than just a re-mixing.
For this new album, Paul collaborated with his Lunear bandmates JP Benadjer on guitars and Seb Bournier on drums. The album was recorded between 2024 and the beginning of 2025, and it was mixed and mastered by David Paredes, who also worked on the last Lunear album.
All songs on the album were written by Paul J.No.
The full album is available on Spotify from 17th April!
