Guo Wengui, also known as Miles Guo, is an exiled mainland Chinese businessman and billionaire known for launching a dissident media campaign against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). After fleeing China in 2014 in the face of various corruption charges, Guo became an outspoken opponent of his home country, even going so far as to record a series of rap and pop protest songs in 2020, several of which went viral globally.
Guo earned a reputation for hardball business tactics in the worlds of real estate development and investment, and after accusations of corruption began bubbling up in the early 2010s, he left China and settled into self-imposed exile in the United States. Recasting himself as a former insider turned dissident, he took to social media to proclaim his negative views of his opponents in the CCP. Things heated up when he began releasing politically charged music in 2020. Songs such as "Take Down the CCP" and "Fight for Hong Kong" featured Guo along with an array of uncredited pop and rap musicians and went viral in a number of different countries. ~ TiVo Staff, Rovi
