Finding is easy if you don't search. The solo debut of RHONDA singer MILO MILONE is characterized by this ease. Milo presents herself in many facets and outside the band context, which is to a large part characterized by soul music. The songs are testament to the freedom of finding what has always been there: the very own voice, the very own vision


The self-titled EP therefore doesn't sound like classic soul, even though there is a lot of soul in it. The often doubled vocals with a less-is-more approach, framed by choirs with a lot of reverb, give the music a psychedelic note, longing for the desert.


In the sun-heated garage of her cottage in Silverlake Los Angeles and during a road trip through California, Milo composed and recorded the music all by herself and with the joy of experiment. The result is a perfectly imperfect record that reflects previous musical experiences, California, the dirt of the big city and the attraction of the new. The songs mark snapshots in time and are yet timeless. They sparkle with bittersweet longing and a feeling of bygone days; little treasure chests, as if found by chance and ready to be opened.
