The Hamburg based singer-songwriter tucumcari, who has played her songs so far only secretly in her living-room or in local bars, has now fulfilled her long-awaited dream and recorded her debut album FAIL BETTER in the renowned Cloudshill Studio.
As the album title reveals, the songs tell of "better failure" (from a quote by Simon Beckett) and up and down stories from her life and range from dark indie pop songs to melancholic, synthie-based folk ballads - all carried through her intimate, warm voice.
The result is a surprising indie album debut, which is a bit reminiscent of a mixture of Warpaint, Poliçia and Cat Power.
