Born in Ghana in 1991, rapper Samuel Andah used Miracle as his nom de plume, referencing the fact that he was lucky to be alive following serious respiratory complications he'd experienced as a baby. After his family migrated to Australia -- initially to Melbourne before settling in Sydney -- Andah developed a love for both punk and hip-hop during his school years, and his gateway to the latter came when he heard the music of Kanye West. Toward the end of his studies he recorded "Better Dayz," an inventive take on a popular single by the ARIA-nominated singer/songwriter Pete Murray. When the track reached over 100,000 views on YouTube, Sony took notice, signed Miracle in Australia, and "Better Dayz" became his debut single. The iLLER EP followed and featured production input from Stylaz Fuego as well as progressive electronic influences, as found on the summer 2012 single "Party of the Year." Before a major-label full-length release, another single -- the flowing, autobiographical "Never Gets Old" -- was issued in late 2013. ~ James Wilkinson, Rovi
