What started as a few ideas in the young Rocketeer's mind soon became the impetus for the future: Vulnerable and mysterious music rooted in a vision of childlike wonder.
Mitchell grew up in Watseka, Illinois, a small farm town two hours south of Chicago. He began writing and playing the piano at age 5, going on to perform on Chicago’s Broadway in his early to mid teens. From there, he began experimenting in the studio, realizing his desire to create music.
Mitchell gives credit to a series of dark and tumultuous years as being the reason he created his alter ego, the Rocketeer. He conditioned his mind and body to become a ‘superhero’- to become greater than his own self. In an interview with Martell Martin, he says “I began building myself up from ground zero- a place that was necessary to visit. It led me to discovering who I really was, and confirmed in my mind I was meant to entertain.”
“A Hero is Born”, the first project in a set series, will be releasing soon.
