Vocalist Chris Jamison is a pop- and soul-influenced artist best known for competing on the seventh season of NBC's The Voice. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jamison participated in high school musicals and gained early performance experience as a member of the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera Academy. After high school, he enrolled at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio where he focused on earning his business degree and sang in a rock band. In September of 2014, he auditioned and was accepted for NBC's vocal competition show The Voice with his rendition of <a href="spotify:artist:0hEurMDQu99nJRq8pTxO14">John Mayer</a>'s "Gravity." Shy at first, Jamison gained confidence over the show's successive weeks, and with encouragement from team coach <a href="spotify:artist:4bYPcJP5jwMhSivRcqie2n">Adam Levine</a>, developed into a classic soul-style crooner. Despite his popularity, Jamison ultimately finished in third place. A compilation of Jamison's Voice performances, The Voice: The Complete Season 7 Collection, appeared in late 2014. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
