miu, a singer-songwriter, was born in a city of Asahikawa, north of Japan in Hokkaido on 2000. After moving to Tokyo in 2020, she started to produce her own music, and made a name for herself with YouTube channel, gradually honing vocal backbone, and accompanying audiovisuals. After 12 months, YouTube subscribers amassed over 35k, and her songs eclipsed 2.5 million views, continuing to build an anticipation for music. In August 2021, she released her debut single “game”. Produced by emerging singer / track maker Kim taehoon, miu unlocks the warmth of her fragile, yet controlled vocals, cementing a sound that her loyal Asian audience describe as “angelic voice of calmness”.
