Mixtape For The Drive are a pop punk band hailing from Wollongong NSW and let me tell you, these guys sure know how to party! Mixtape have had a very successful run since its inception in 2014. The boys have landed tours alongside a bunch of international heavyweights such as such as Unwritten Law, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Lagwagon, Hawthorne Heights and Flatliners and Mest. Their 2014 EP ‘Stories’ was recorded at Electric sun studios in Sydney and produced by Whak Taahi (Tonight Alive) and has made it’s way around Australia quite a few times since its release! Their live show has been described as a “no-bulls#$%, up-front pop punk set, and is a refreshing change from the manufactured “punk” bands of late.”- Life Music Media The Mixtape For The Drive camp is built on a strong DIY ethic. Self managing and funding all of their endeavors thus far!“The apocalypse is going down in the supermarket.” Supermarket Apocalypse, the newest track from Mixtape For The Drive, details the absurdity of the panic buying of the early days of the pandemic, and the tension and violence we saw on TV as a result. A new musical direction for the band, it expands on some of the tongue-in-cheek hardcore sounds of their previous album, emerging for the first time in its own track. Feb 18th... It's going down!
