John H. (born: February 26, 1999 [age 23]), better known online as MΩD99, is a German YouTuber, music producer, video editor and gamer. His channel was founded in April 2015.
Originally, MΩD99 was known for his crazy video edits and music videos. Most videos addressed a various mix of science-fiction, dystopic worlds, horror movies, memes and cars. He used nothing more than the free-to-download Windows Maker for the production! He also made subscriber specials showcasing his editing skills, combined with all forms of heavy EDM and Dubstep.
Fascinated by these genres, he started to produce own music. Starting with the free DAW "LMMS", he published his first songs in fall 2017. One year later, he switched to "FL Studio 20", including better plugins and production techniques. His main genres are Dubstep, Drum and Bass and Electro. Whereas most music videos are visualizers full of effects and animations, some still represent his love for fast video edits.
MΩD99´s intention is to create music that shocks and excites people by hiding critical messages in his songs, addressing acient mythology, human misbehaviour, current social developments or his personal life, e.g. relationships and hobbies. He expresses himself through sound design and tries to invent something new every song. That is why he condemns the mainstream culture and tries to establish niche genres rather than music that might be heard in the radio.
