Molly Rymer's writing has been best described as ‘a conversation in song’. Coupled with a relaxed and chatty on-stage persona, her tales of heartbreak, loss, and self-reflection feel less like two girls drunkenly oversharing in a club toilet, and more like your slightly loose- lipped granny trapped in a younger body. With the recent addition of a cello, double bass, drums, and 2-part backing vocals to her intimate live set in 2024, Rymer's ‘20-something-granny’ permeates these new arrangements, with strong hints of Fleetwood Mac, Thunder, and other classic rock icons the singer grew up listening to. Mix that with a deep love for American songwriter Lizzy McAlpine and it’s easy to see why this set up stands out most prominently in its deft use of hair-raising harmonies and driving rhythm sections.
Titled accordingly, ‘All You Can Eat’, Rymer's debut EP was released in October 2024, mapping out the singer-songwriter’s movements over the past few years, a smorgasbord of moods and experiences unified by a core of a raw, unfiltered desire by Rymer to share her stories with the world.
