The modern state thrives in the creation of alienating forms of entertainment conditioned by social and economic structures. Absorbing contra-cultural movements and neutralising them to create further tools of hegemonic control has become a common practice in today's entertainment industry. Concurrently, as modernization hits different geographical locations, it seems to only allow its participants certain ways of revolting as the casts and moulds are always ready for those willing to confront it. Disciplinary power becomes an omnipresent tool forcing the individual, now atomised, to only hold the status of consumer individuals, becoming ourselves the most feared and effective oppressors. We entered a new stage of hegemonic intimidation that goes beyond being cultural and external; it is now one that is inforced and projected internally by the individual; we have now become our own panopticon, our own disciplinary power, our own oppressor as we play the capitalist game of entertaining ourselves and those around us.
