Based in Austin, Texas, reverb-drenched confessional alt-country-rockers Monk Parker emerged from frequent changes to the official and large touring lineup of lo-fi noise band <a href="spotify:artist:2XHzKPlpgnjEX9CNl7GUr6">the Low Lows</a>. After that group's third LP was delayed for several years, in 2014 lead man Parker Noon, by then using the moniker Monk Parker, announced a rebranding of the band, also to be called Monk Parker. He was joined by BC Costello and Zach Larkins on organs, Jonathan Merz on trombone, and Thom Washburn on drums.
