Monodrome is a Chicago-based duo formed in 2023 by Chris Diaz and <a href="spotify:artist:4gsbM6GJhuxTuRDqcz994k" data-name="Andrew Jackson">Andrew Jackson</a> , whose collaborative work began in 2021 while pursuing their own solo projects at Loyola University Chicago. Drawing inspiration from a wide spectrum of musical styles, the band resists traditional genre boundaries. Released in May 2024, their self-titled debut EP fuses elements of funk, alternative rock, and jazz. Since then, Monodrome has embraced a more synth-driven sound layered with deep, aphotic vocals, most recently showcased in their latest release <a href="spotify:album:2XurovUqNtR9XvGpyd7xBJ" data-name="Out of Sight- From "Time Stops When I'm with You"">Out of Sight- From "Time Stops When I'm with You"</a> — an extended and alternative version of the closing credits score for the short film Time Stops When I’m With You.
