Monomo is a musician, guitarist, MC and producer from Germany. Raised on Skateboarding, MTVs 120 minutes, the Beastie Boys and tennis he quickly came to play guitar in different bands and made a name for himself as one of Germany’s finest freestyle MCs. As such he joined Gunter Hampel’s Next Generation while graduating from high school and toured Europe with this outfit for the next couple of years. After taking up his studies in Berlin, he formed “Krämerladen” a German speaking Rap-group that released one EP in 2004 and toured Germany continuously. In 2005 he formed “The Gecko” an electro-indie band, which featured English singer songwriter Espin Bowder on vocals. After touring Germany, Austria and England as support for “Gods of Blitz” Monomo quit the band in 2009 and turned his back on music for the next five years. Moving back to the more rural parts of Germany the joy of making music reemerged and sparked a new chapter: The Monomo Sessions – Inspired by his eclectic taste in music.
