From the fearless Alt-Rock and Indie-Rock of <a href="spotify:artist:4Z8W4fKeB5YxbusRsdQVPb" data-name="Radiohead">Radiohead</a>, the expansive atmospheres held to earth by the thorough drum grooves of <a href="spotify:artist:1J9Z9bhqkgyqseEi85cbyx" data-name="Mutemath">Mutemath</a>, to the idiosyncratic guitar compulsions of <a href="spotify:artist:0YQBN02bmZvwGNrrWsg2sT" data-name="Minus the Bear">Minus the Bear</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3YcBF2ttyueytpXtEzn1Za" data-name="Incubus">Incubus</a>; the band comes out of the hot and humid Cebu City underground kicking, eager to test its limbs, throwing bold strokes thick with oil color. And though <a href="spotify:track:0GlybiwXhL46joiNUyN6xT" data-name="A Fine Day For A Swim">A Fine Day For A Swim</a> is a finer example of that and how the band intends to cast their identity, their second single titled <a href="spotify:album:21kXQ5bWuPsWYI4vIfgtVl" data-name="Perfume">Perfume</a> is one that tells how far the band can and will go, plus ultra. It is a heart-in-hand ballad, or it aspires to be, that finds a thread from the alt rock of the previous single into <a href="spotify:artist:2KjAo6wVc9d2WcxdxSArpV" data-name="RY X">RY X</a> folk territory. It starts out sparse with dreamy guitar and vocal front and center and the occasional string quartet that then builds to a mid tempo that keeps pace with early <a href="spotify:artist:4gzpq5DPGxSnKTe4SA8HAU" data-name="Coldplay">Coldplay</a>. The ending breaks into lush dramatic instrumentation implying betrayal as the singer sings “all i wanted was honesty” four times. Legion, the band's up and coming 3rd single rounds out the trinity of meditations about isolation and despair. A moody hymn pushing towards post-grunge that takes its inspirations from <a href="spotify:artist:1ZTdxfZTeztyAgKUJVLxAI" data-name="Rivermaya">Rivermaya</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0ZZr6Y49NZWRJc0uCwqpMR" data-name="Feeder">Feeder</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:7echw3REDO3lbiYEeD9E6E" data-name="Monoral">Monoral</a>.
