The brainchild of former <a href="spotify:artist:0k6m2onP4vty049gZ9PseB">Noordkaap</a> member <a href="spotify:artist:7J7aEiugccHewS8W02GrIE">Stijn Meuris</a>, Monza released their first album, Van God Los, in 2001. Consisting of vocalist <a href="spotify:artist:7J7aEiugccHewS8W02GrIE">Meuris</a>, bassist Bart Delacourt, guitarist Bruno Fevery, guitarist Kris Delacourt, and drummer Dirk Loots, Monza celebrated the 175th anniversary of their nation, Belgium, with the track "Ik Hou Van U/Je T'aime Tu Sais" in 2005, which also happened to be the year of their sophomore full-length release, Grand.
