We are Moondial, a brand new band from Amsterdam with Duco van den Hoven (vocals, guitar), Simon de Smit (lead guitar), Ilja Zevenhek (drums) and Boaz Verbeek (bass guitar). The four of us, each with a different musical background, met in highschool and wanted to cover rock songs together. So we taught ourselves new instruments and started to play. Soon we discovered the world of writing songs, instrumental at first but later we started writing lyrics too. Our sound developed and we created our first sensitive yet heavy alt rock songs. One of those turned into our single “Flesh and Blood”. We’re already looking forward to sharing the rest of our songs with the world, starting with our second single “Standing on my Back”.
