Moonmatter’s four members have come from vastly different corners of the galaxy. When they first met in Edinburgh, it was as if the stars had aligned to bring them together in this improbable place so far away from their homes. Whenever MOONMATTER play, the members’ minds seem to intertwine and merge into a superbrain from which the music radiates with an unrelenting determination to infect the audience with joy. The grimy cobbled alleyways of Edinburgh seem to take form in their rawest moments. In their more intimate songs, that earthy sound gets twisted and reverberates through the atmospheric vastness of outer space. From danceable horror-movie rock bangers to yearning cinematic hymns, Moonmatter’s sound can’t really be described. It has to be felt.
