Whether they are forging brave new worlds out of nothing for the sake of parable, directly tackling controversial topics concerning the anthropogenic nature of Earth&#39;s demise, or denouncing the evils of political and religious fanaticism, the portuguese extreme metal act <a href="spotify:artist:4K8ETf2R1Gs7fz5y21CTTN" data-name="Moonshade">Moonshade</a> remains adamant in echoing the many battlecries of a lost generation&#39;s war for salvation.

After releasing a few songs online, the <a href="spotify:album:0uZmUVN9kkQ5upNLKdiDxX" data-name="Dream | Oblivion">Dream | Oblivion</a> EP was released in 2011, followed by their debut album <a href="spotify:album:7h8jWMGltDiorLkid5Vz9P" data-name="Sun Dethroned">Sun Dethroned</a> in 2018. These releases were taken to many club and festival shows across Portugal and Spain, some featuring the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:2UOVgpgiNTC6KK0vSC77aD" data-name="Amorphis">Amorphis</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3hE8S8ohRErocpkY7uJW4a" data-name="Within Temptation">Within Temptation</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4sy5qWfwUwpGYBnCKnwfcW" data-name="Heaven Shall Burn">Heaven Shall Burn</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:52xuvlUvnxqH0xzxGPKXSu" data-name="Omnium Gatherum">Omnium Gatherum</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:17MbhJOaaPHuWnRaWU9xkc" data-name="Decapitated">Decapitated</a>. When COVID-19 came for their throats, Moonshade rabidly fought back by spending two years of isolation writing new music, while performing in online events such as Metal Injection&#39;s &#39;Slay At Home&#39;.

2022 oversaw the unleashing of the band&#39;s sophomore album and current magnum opus <a href="spotify:album:1y4HmKB1cudGKzuPs7nrdi" data-name="As We Set The Skies Ablaze">As We Set The Skies Ablaze</a>. This ambitious, independently released project gathered fans across the globe, received worldwide media attention, and breached a million plays throughout all major streaming services.

After three years of setting national and international stages ablaze with their second album, the band returned to the studio in 2025 for their new madness - the &#39;Angels, Blood &amp; Enemies&#39; EP, to be released in February 18th, 2026.
