Morteminence is a Blackgaze project formed in 2016 by Charlize M. and Vincent H.
The band released two EPs in 2018 which were both part of a non-linear conceptual first-person storytelling about a fictional character opening its eyes to the violence of post-modern and capitalist society and finding a meaning and causality to their own psychological suffering, feelings of alienation and loss of purpose in life. The two EPs were later gathered on the self-titled "Morteminence" compilation album.
Morteminence brings in their sound influences from the late early-2010s Blackgaze scene with bands like Heretoir, Deafheaven, Amesoeurs and Alcest, with a modern, Metalcore influenced and clear sounding production.
Morteminence is now working on their follow up to their first efforts.
