The electronic-based post-industrial duo Motor make perfect sense as part of the Mute label's roster. Mr. Nô (from Paris, France) and Bryan Black (from Minneapolis, MN) met when the latter saw the former playing drums at a venue in London, England. Prior to 2006's Klunk, the first Motor album, the duo released a handful of singles and remixed T. Raumschmiere, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, and Throbbing Gristle. Their second album, Unhuman, followed in early 2007. They've also produced under the name Xlover (with an album on International Deejay Gigolo) and have collaborated with Felix da Housecat and Princess Superstar. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
