A Californian alt-rock quartet with a bluesy, riff-heavy sound, Mount Holly were formed in 2015 by guitarist Nick Perri, formerly of the band Silvertide. Also featuring singer Jameson Burt, bassist Brian Weaver, and drummer John Bach, Mount Holly's first release was "Roll Out," the title track to a 2016 Hasbro/Sony-distributed compilation of songs inspired by the Transformers franchise. Their song "Get Up" landed on the 62nd installment of the popular Now That's What I Call Music! series in 2017. The song also appeared on the band's debut album, Stride by Stride, which was released in early November of that year. Although the album fared well on digital alternative charts, its release was accompanied by the news that vocalist Burt was leaving the group, whose remaining members chose to disband rather than replace him. ~ Timothy Monger, Rovi
