Flight was selected for 'BBC Introducing's Featured Artist of the Week', Foundation FM, Worldwide & NTS shows.
Gilded gained plays on BBC Introducing, NTS, Subtle FM, Noods FM, Voices as well as CPH+, Fresh Finds, Fresh Finds: Indie playlisting.
They are the first releases of a series of 8 which will form a large EP that was born in a cabin in Lapland - featuring field recordings, they shape shift regularly… some trip-hop leaning, some alt pop.
Mixing field recordings collected on walks with a tonne of knotty rhythms and hooks, the tracks often feature her mum's clarinet. From a choral/classical background Mr. Beale jumped into a four-piece bedroom disco band while featuring on deep house and soul producers’ <a href="spotify:artist:1LfqhJiCiHfVzrBOVaBXc1" data-name="Demuja">Demuja</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4J1MTSVgUq6ok7ePDOpf9J" data-name="Gratts">Gratts</a> & <a href="spotify:artist:0eCTrYePahyPxq2lIHpzfv" data-name="KaySoul">KaySoul</a> tracks with <a href="spotify:artist:3YcfGOBLEsPKVZj5Ecu0QY" data-name="Alex Kassian">Alex Kassian</a> & <a href="spotify:artist:03KZUWKQujlCcgEdcrkvWd" data-name="Tim Reaper">Tim Reaper</a> on each flip. Her independent style really came together on a solo residency in Lapland in the Arctic. The isolation and dreamy landscapes shaped new instrumentals + she combined elements of a sound piece practice with jazz/pop vocals. Of an assortment, influences include Acopia, Aphex Twin, Massive Attack and jazz legend Ella Fitzgerald. Testament to these selects … she merges styles, Classical/Jazz & Alternative/Electronic.
