Chenier hails from Queens, NY and now calls Raleigh, NC home. He discovered his gift to sing when he was 5 years old while singing in the church. Chenier continued to use his gift as a young man singing in churches, weddings, and various musical events.
Chenier’s sound has drawn comparisons to great vocalists like Brain McKnight and Babyface but he still feel he has a sound of his own.
Chenier’s debut smash single One Fantasy, which he wrote and arranged received rave reviews from the Worldwide Songwriter’s Association. The song earned “Song of the Week” for 2 weeks straight with the Worldwide Songwriter’s Association. Chenier was also a top 20 finalist in 2005 Unisong International Songwriter Contest with One Fantasy. Even before the release his debut album, he was a nominee for the 2nd annual Carolina Music Awards for R&B male artist of the year for 2009. “One Fantasy” has received frequent airplay in North Carolina and repeated requests upon its release. Chenier is something that the music world has been missing; a fresh and sincere sound. Chenier is currently making appearances, giving interviews, performing, and recording new music following his latest album titled “Night To Remember” released in February 2018 published through N4orceEnt/SRG-ILS/Universal.
