Birthed in the swamp of Gainesville FL, mr cool is a 5 piece rock band with an highly eclectic sound.
Fronted by producer/songwriter, Nolan Curtis, mr cool burst on to the FL music scene in 2021 with their debut album “You Win”.
Their songs combine the best aspects 90s Alt-Rock and vintage Psych-Rock. Heavy guitar tones, horns, and keys all make their presence known in the music. Their layered compositions range from introspective and bleak, to straightforward and fun.
The band initially formed in 2020 as invited performers for Sirius/XM’s Tom Petty Birthday Bash. Tasked with re-recording a Tom Petty song, the band’s chose to tackle The Heartbreakers’ legendary live album performance of “Melinda”. Their take on Tom Petty’s “Melinda” received widespread critical acclaim, and officially launched the band.
