Formed in 1982 in Phoenix, Arizona, the band consisted of Richard Page (vocals, bass), Steve George (keyboards), Steve Farris (guitar), and Pat Mastelotto (drums). With a blend of rock, synth-pop, and lush harmonies, Mr. Mister created anthems that captured the spirit of the decade.

Their breakthrough came with the 1985 album Welcome to the Real World, which spawned two No. 1 Billboard hits: "Broken Wings" and "Kyrie."
