From a small island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean to the four corners of the world.
Such is the goal of Mund[in]verso, a band created on the island of Terceira, in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores, during the COVID pandemic, by gifted composer/guitarist Dário Ferreira (guitars, synths and vocals), who brought together his experienced road partners Bruno Ferreira (drums), Denga Pinheiro (keyboards, samples, and vocals), Artur Rocha (bass), and newcomer Tommy G (vocals and acoustic guitar).
The band’s multilayered name, roughly translating as World+Universe, World-in-Verse, and World-Inverse, is a strong reminder that there is no better way to express oneself and one’s emotions than through words and music in this upside-down world of ours,
as proven by the band’s 2024 debut album “Roads” (yet to be released), an unexpected, but very much welcomed revival of a variety of seemingly neglected rock genres, ranging from rock to hard rock, and from progressive to neo-progressive rock, with occasional ventures into softer symphonic conceptual aesthetics.
Mund[in]verso is that rare sort of band that not only appeals to Baby Boomers and Gen X die-hard rock fans, but also shows Millennials and Gen Z that rock and roll will never die.
