Musikkollegium Winterthur

The Musikkollegium Winterthur is a Symphonic Orchestra and consists of approximately 50 professional musicians performing in more than 60 concerts per season. The repertoire focuses on contemporary music, classical music and early romanticism – the orchestra also brings to fresh light on great symphonic works such as <a href="spotify:artist:5wTAi7QkpP6kp8a54lmTOq" data-name="Johannes Brahms">Johannes Brahms</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3MKCzCnpzw3TjUYs2v7vDA" data-name="Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky">Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6MF58APd3YV72Ln2eVg710" data-name="Felix Mendelssohn">Felix Mendelssohn</a>. Composers such as <a href="spotify:artist:656RXuyw7CE0dtjdPgjJV6" data-name="Joseph Haydn">Joseph Haydn</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4NJhFmfw43RLBLjQvxDuRS" data-name="Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart">Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2UqjDAXnDxejEyE0CzfUrZ" data-name="Robert Schumann">Robert Schumann</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2p0UyoPfYfI76PCStuXfOP" data-name="Franz Schubert">Franz Schubert</a> are also regularly on the programme.

Opera and ballet productions, such as <a href="spotify:artist:4kHtgiRnpmFIV5Tm4BIs8l" data-name="Sergei Prokofiev">Sergei Prokofiev</a>&#39;s Romeo and Juliet, chamber music events with the Winterthur String Quartet, formats at the interface with jazz or film and its award-winning educational programme for schools, families and adults round off its wide range of activities. Since Season 21/22 the Musikkollegium Winterthur has been under the direction of chief conductor <a href="spotify:artist:4XB5eWjWz9xKrBIX7DV9WQ" data-name="Roberto González-Monjas">Roberto González-Monjas</a>.
