Muskogee Hotel

Muskogee Hotel is in addition to Knut Roppestad on guitar and vocals, Asbjørn Husby on drums and Jonas Bergh on bass. Jonas and Asbjørn have extensive experience and are masters of their instruments. Knut is a singer-songwriter from Horten, Norway with a long career as a recording artist and performer behind him. He has so far released eight albums in different genres. Jonas has joined recently when founding member Emil Ljone decided to leave spring of 22.

«Muskogee Hotel is a power trio in its truest sense. The band started out as a project to play the annual blues festival «From Dusk ‘til Dawn», Rentiesville, Oklahoma set at Labor Day-weekend (September 2016). It was my third time playing there and the first time to play the main stage. Both this gig – we were invited back and played there in 2019 as well - and a few other appearances gave us amazing feedback and we had a most fulfilling blast playing together. In addition to this the intuitive connection and the personal chemistry within the band was great so we just had to keep going.
Style? Well, think original music based on a rich inheritance from bands like ZZ Top, Rush, King’s X, Cream, Rory Gallagher – hard and heavy blues rock with a bit of funk and prog tossed in there. »
