Orchestre Muyei, aka Muyei Power, were one of the most successful bands in Sierre Leone in the 1970s. With a sound rooted in traditional West African music, Muyei Power also incorporated such varied styles as rock, pop, and funk into their own compositions. Muyei Power broke up around 1976 before releasing a full-length album. In 2014, <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Soundway+Records%22">Soundway Records</a> released the anthology, Sierra Leona in 1970s USA, which compiled Muyei Power's various recordings. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
