With a love for angry, hard and heavy music, <a href="spotify:artist:6sN9rlJYu39a8GnDNPW9mE" data-name="My Design Immortal">My Design Immortal</a> was formed to deliver just that - hard and heavy music that they hope would make your grandma cry.
As a project of <a href="spotify:artist:2VvedAGFrLVgHXLCEO5bpa" data-name="Shawn Martin">Shawn Martin</a>, the group formed in early 2015 and started right away on creating music non-stop for their debut album and that March, the results were solid with the release of their hard-as-rocks debut album, <a href="spotify:album:78oTdkBtf9ILAj79J6XMeX" data-name="Broken">Broken</a>.
In April 2017, they released their second album - an album of covers of songs of various genres titled <a href="spotify:album:1xT2yziwJRM9MLcezgGASm" data-name="Take Cover">Take Cover</a>.
With fresh ideas and a solid sound, they released their third album, an all original story driven experience, <a href="spotify:album:1LqHi71E0qgDc4mUtbdxgn" data-name="Of Failure and Fear">Of Failure and Fear</a>.
Having a solid plan and understanding of their own music, the band followed up with their newest mastermind, <a href="spotify:album:4WEs6HJ7ulVbV0a1Yjpcpa" data-name="Paper Thin">Paper Thin</a>.
Having an idea for the next album, they created just a title, however when something happened in Martin's life, the title and idea changed. Less than a month later, a more personal situation happened which changed the story but the title remained the same and in May 2023, they released their next story, <a href="spotify:album:74ZgPB26DNARdBCtbqThiY" data-name="Bridges Burned">Bridges Burned</a>.
Later in 2023, the group thoughtfully embarked on revamping the band and with that they wanted a fresh start. Martin wanted to bring more meaning and passion into the group in the form of lyrics. Entering a new era, My Design Immortal, with a lead singer for the first time ever, created a solid hard rock album that released in August 2024, their new story, <a href="spotify:album:722qPAsZWHdGXa9zFyplZh" data-name="Resurgence">Resurgence</a>
