“Every musician is an optimist,” says Singapore-born artist MYRNE (Manfred Lim). “To create is to have faith in futurity.”

With his euphoria-tinged DJ sets and introspective approach to songwriting, it’s hard to find someone more optimistic. Initially getting his start in 2015 with a debut EP on Mad Decent, he&#39;s worked with dance music titans like <a href="spotify:artist:5fMUXHkw8R8eOP2RNVYEZX" data-name="Diplo">Diplo</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5eIbEEQnDM8yuDVB0bimSP" data-name="RL Grime">RL Grime</a>; remixed the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:5JZ7CnR6gTvEMKX4g70Amv" data-name="Lauv">Lauv</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4EPJlUEBy49EX1wuFOvtjK" data-name="Becky Hill">Becky Hill</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:60d24wfXkVzDSfLS6hyCjZ" data-name="Martin Garrix">Martin Garrix</a>; and was the first Singaporean artist to play at festivals like Tomorrowland, Ultra Miami, &amp; Hard Summer.

Most recently, returning to his roots in trance &amp; progressive, MYRNE has become one of the rising stars of deep house imprint <a href="spotify:artist:3h02Ri42sdi6XqqQYfLzO8" data-name="This Never Happened">This Never Happened</a>. His work has also received resounding support from the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:10gzBoINW3cLJfZUka8Zoe" data-name="Above &amp; Beyond">Above &amp; Beyond</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6u4jLGLPuarS3i2XWHVxoS" data-name="Sasha">Sasha</a>, &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:2o5jDhtHVPhrJdv3cEQ99Z" data-name="Tiësto">Tiësto</a>; in 2024, his first release on This Never Happened (<a href="spotify:album:3YRlJNIUwdjOfcZlH0GpNo" data-name="Close The Distance / A Matter Of Chance">Close The Distance / A Matter Of Chance</a>) instantly became a fan favourite. In 2025, his collaboration with Shallou (<a href="spotify:album:6Z5HYN50xuRIikzXPCo2oB" data-name="Heal">Heal</a>) took the top spot on SiriusXM Chill’s regular rotation for two months.

His music has also been released on tastemaker labels like Anjunabeats, Colorize, Rose Avenue, and Astralwerks. His eclectic approach to electronic music — often combining field recordings, classical instrumentation, and textural ambient with a keen club sensibility — has cemented MYRNE as one of melodic house’s most exciting acts.
