Taking their name from the cunning three-headed dog demon Naberus -- derived from the Greek Cerberus -- this Melbourne, Australia-based five-piece stands at the crossroads of death metal, thrash, melodic hardcore, and progressive groove metal. Formed in 2009, and featuring the talents of James Ash (vocals), Dan Ralph (guitar), Jordan Mitchell (bass), Chris Sheppard (drums), and Dante Thompson (guitar), Naberus issued a demo -- Ruins of Society -- in 2010, which caught the ear of producer Ermin Hamidovic (Architects, Periphery, Devin Townsend), who helmed the group's debut EP, The Fallen, in 2011. High-profile festival appearances and shows with sonic contemporaries like Soilwork followed, and in 2016 the band issued their Hamidovic-produced full-length debut, The Lost Reveries, via Eclipse Records. The band enlisted producer Henrik Udd (Bring Me the Horizon, Architects, A Breach of Silence) to put the finishing touches on their sophomore effort, Hollow, which arrived in 2018. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
