Named after the legendary Maxine Brown singer-songwriter Nanette Maxine is best described as multi-talented urban, gospel and R&B soul singer-songwriter. Her true motivation is bringing consciousness to song. Born and raised in the southeast Nanette Maxine first began developing her soulful vocal style in a southern Baptist church. Throughout school she continued her love for singing and defined her ear for music. Her ability to sing, play keyboards and produce allows her comfort in the studio where she emerges a gifted writer. She has collaborated and written with various successful writers and producers.
During her career she has had many accomplishments and awards. She was honored and awarded the National Academy of Popular Music's Abe Oleman Scholarship for excellence in songwriting, as well as, the Michael Jackson This Dream Contest (a collaboration with Michael Jackson and David Foster through TonosPro), A Chi town favorite her music has been showcased various conventions and Music Conferences.
