Naosán Moore, Irish singer songwriter, wrote his first song in 2012 when he was 16 to express his feelings about a girl he fancied in his hometown Mullingar. He had never performed on stage before but decided to enter his school talent show. To his surprise, he got a decent reaction from the crowd which gave him confidence to keep writing and performing his own songs in the local area. Unfortunately, to his disappointment, the song didn't work to win the girl's heart.
At 19, when he finished school, he grappled with the idea of pursuing music full time. He decided to begin a career in primary school teaching where he studied and worked in Dublin for 6 years. He ultimately didn't have the confidence and wherewithal to dive straight into the music industry at this stage.
However, having continued writing and playing small shows, at 25, he decided he needed to at least try to pursue a professional music career as his one true passion in life is writing songs. He then moved over to London where he met many talented people who he performed with and has collaborated with to produce his first four song EP.
Naosán, who is all about human connection, loves meeting new people, hearing their stories and sharing his stories with them. These interactions essentially inspire his songwriting and allow him to write genuine, honest, melodically hooky pop songs which come from a real authentic place.
