Nasir Jr. has put the work in to become one of the most technically sound rappers of the modern era. Born in southern Nigeria, he would embrace his culture and become influenced heavily by the afro-centric sounds and music that were produced by his people. When he eventually moved to Winnipeg, Canada, he was hooked on the mainstream talents of today. After years of practice and fine-tuning his sound, Nasir pays homage to his country with a hip-hop fusion sound filled with afro-centric percussion and a melodic structure that rivals the streaming giants of today. His infectious rhythm, fluid flow, and vocal precision are just some of the many tools in his arsenal he worked hard to acquire while transcending the hip-hop genre. What started as an "escape from reality" in high school has turned into a fully-fledged career, one he hopes will "change the future generation with my words and mentor those that have a story similar to mine."
