Nathan is a husband, dad, musician, and pastor. In April 2018 he began serving Christ Covenant Church in Charlotte, NC as the Pastor of Worship. In 1988 Nathan began writing and playing shows in Southern Illinois with a three-piece band. Ten years later he was married and traveling the country playing solo acoustic-guitar shows, which led to living in an RV with his wife and six children for 5 years. These days he dabbles with writing in various styles and still enjoys a little touring here and there and yonder.
In his head, he drives old, quirky, and yet reliable cars on the way to a fly fishing spot in Idaho while listening to Alison Krauss, Lyle Lovett, Bach, Ralph Vaughn Williams, and the Mozart Clarinet Concertos. In reality, he drives old, quirky cars in suburbia. When he’s not driving or playing music he likes reading Larry Woiwode, George MacDonald, Gordon H. Clark, or about old guitars and cars. He would love to be playing a late 1930s Martin D18 and driving a Mercedes 190 E 16v (just in case you have one you need to get rid of).
