Indelible Grace Music was born in 2000 when RUF campus minister Kevin Twit and a group of students from Belmont University released their first CD of “retuned” hymns, called “Indelible Grace.” They have since released a total of 9 projects, played a sold-out hymn sing at the Ryman Auditorium in 2010, and produced a documentary film “Roots And Wings: The Story Of Indelible Grace and The RUF Hymns”. In 2024 they released a 2nd live album "Bright Hope For Tomorrow" and will release their 8th studio project (and first in 10 years) in March 2026, "Rove No More: Indelible Grace VIII." Artists involved have included Matthew Smith, Sandra McCracken, Emily Deloach, Jeremy Casella, Katy Bowser, Matthew Jones, and Dan Haseltine. Indelible Grace has been the main influence in the modern “retuned hymn movement” which has retuned over 1000 hymns since 2000. They maintain a helpful resource site “The Indelible Grace Hymnbook” where users can download sheet music etc. for all of their music. IG founder Kevin Twit has also recently released a video course called "The Gospel In The Hymns" available on Teachable.
