Both an organist and choir master, Giles succeeded Colan as the Master of the Choristers at Worcester Cathedral. He held the position of organist at St. George's Chapel in Windsor in 1585 until his death together with the position of Gentleman and Master of the Children of the Chapel Royal from 1597. He received his Batchelors of Music from Oxford and was accordingly in charge of the choirboys and director of their plays. Giles also worked with Henry Evans at the Black Friars Theatre and was lauded for his superior abilities. ~ Keith Johnson, Rovi
