Soulful folk-rock from Naarm/Melbourne, Australia.
Currently led by Robin in Australia—with Johannes in Germany—Nature in the City began when they met at Berklee College of Music in Boston, despite growing up in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. Originally a Berlin-based duo (double bass and guitar), they soon expanded into a global collaboration.

Driven by a desire to explore human vulnerability, Robin crafts songs that share heartfelt stories with warmth, honesty, and uplifting energy. Inspired by <a href="spotify:artist:3GBPw9NK25X1Wt2OUvOwY3" data-name="Jack Johnson">Jack Johnson</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2CvCyf1gEVhI0mX6aFXmVI" data-name="Paul Simon">Paul Simon</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:16oZKvXb6WkQlVAjwo2Wbg" data-name="The Lumineers">The Lumineers</a>, their sound feels authentic and full of hope and kindness.

They’ve played festivals and intimate shows, sharing stages with <a href="spotify:artist:4xdEmbimxXyo9wXy9lq3ek" data-name="Gretta Ray">Gretta Ray</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1qAMxE8YRo3KREMiKiyUkV" data-name="Pete Murray">Pete Murray</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:21TinSsF5ytwsfdyz5VSVS" data-name="dodie">dodie</a> , and Jonah, performed for the German Parliament, and been featured on ABC Melbourne. Their latest album, Time, has earned over 200,000 Spotify streams.
